| Terms & Conditions Of Hire
The Hirer agrees to:
- pay all charges when due.
During the period of hire, agrees to:
- take, and ensure that others in the party take, reasonable care of the contents, fabric & grounds of the property.
- make, and ensure that others in the party make, reasonable use of gas & electricity to avoid wastage.
- report to the owners any breakages, damage, etc., whether accidental or not; and, to replace, or pay for replacement, or repair, if requested by the Owners.
- strictly adhere to the No Smoking policy in the cottage.
- where applicable, not to allow dogs on to furniture, beds,etc.; nor to leave dogs unattended in the property, nor allow them to foul upon the property or grounds.
- ensure that the cottage is securely locked when unoccupied.
- to vacate the property at the termination of the hire.
- on departure, to leave the cottage in a clean state, eg. washing-up done, tables, benches, sinks, toilet, etc. cleaned, rubbish cleared, floors cleaned.
Important Notes:
- If the Hirer leaves the cottage in an unclean/untidy state, the Hirer will be charged £28 for the additional costs incurred for cleaning. This will be deducted from the £100 bond paid at the start of the hiring, or charged to the Hirer's credit/debit card.
- Should the Hirer wish to pay an additional charge for cleaning after departure, this can be arranged at a cost of £20. Notify the owners a few days in advance of departure, if required.
- We can usually arrange for a cleaner to attend on a daily basis if required. The charge for this is £7.50 per hour (or part of an hour). A few days notice may be required to obtain the cleaner's services.
- The owners reserve the right to make a charge equivalent to the cost of gas and/or electricity used, when appropriate, due to excessive use or wastage.
